What are Hanger Bolts?

Hanger bolts are headless fasteners with two types of threading, one on each half of the bolt. One half features a self-tapping lag screw thread and the other half a machine screw threading with a blunt tip. They are typically used to hang materials from wooden structures. The lag screw portion of these bolts is typically inserted into a pre-drilled hole, allowing objects to be fastened to the machine.

How to Use Hanger Bolts?

You can also use a hanger bolt driver bit to easily install hanger screws with a drill.
• Attach an object: Once the bolt is securely attached to the wood surface, attach your hanging object using the machine threads. You can then use a nut and washer to secure your object.
