Purchasing Agent

Position Overview:

As a Purchasing Agent, you will play a vital role in ensuring our supply chain runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to maintain our high-quality standards while optimizing costs. This position offers the flexibility of working in the office or from home, with occasional travel for team meetings or supplier visits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sourced and procured fasteners and industrial supplies to meet customer demands.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders to maintain stock availability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and quality standards.
• Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with internal departments, including sales and logistics, to meet organizational goals.
• Stay updated on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and new product developments.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management in the fastener industry.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
• Proficiency in purchasing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and remotely, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
